Progress...week 8

We are making real progress on the new porch.  The wiring is being done as I write this and I am glad.  We are needing a fan out there...and lights..

As I look at the landscaping around the porch, it looks like I planted it in preparation for what we have done.  It doesn't look at all like there was a huge oak tree and deck devastation a few weeks ago..

This is where we started in February..it's a whole lot different and BETTER now......

Still learning patience around here but life is slowly, but surely getting back to normal.  I am learning to choose what is important and pursue that.  Not all that I thought was important is so important after all the lessons of the great big oak tree..

Love,
Mona

LOOKING UP

Have you spent much of your time looking up?

Well, it is high time that you did.......

Here are a few of the things I saw when I decided to LOOK UP on this first day of May.......

look at the strength of these arms (limbs)..who wouldn't feel safe when sheltered by them??

this is way older than the years I have lived..

just look at the reach of these arms........

that shelter this little house of ours...

and this is NOTHING compared to the arms of God that surround us anytime we let Him...and shelters us anytime we want to get underneath His protection......

It is a good thing to walk around in nature and let it speak to you..it is not silent....

and these for the sheer beauty.....

and for all of you Southerners..the smell of honeysuckle on a warm summer night.....

and sucking the nectar from the blooms....

Under the shadow of Your wings.......is a good place to live......

thank you for stopping by today......I hope to see you again soon.....
