Merry Christmas and I am so glad you have stopped by for a visit...I am so happy to show you around my table that is set for a family dinner this weekend..
This year"s table started off with the wonderful Pendleton wool blanket that I bought from Nancy's shop on etsy . She was great to work with and soon I had the foundation for my table...
One of my all time favorite finds at GW was this communion tray..I knew it was perfect for a centerpiece container. It holds water and has all of these little holes like a flower frog....so, now..off we go to the rest of the table...
These antlers were my Daddy's...wish I knew the story behind them..My Grandmother kept everything and I am glad she did...just because of things like these antlers...
I have fallen in love with faux bois (fake wood) this year. and remembered these planters that I bought years ago..they were just right for this table.....
The plates are Holiday Wreath by Taylor, Smith and Taylor..
Pewter goblets and my very versatile Dollar Tree crystal goblets...old silverplate and red paisley napkins...
When the candles are lit, the table takes on a more romantic feel.....
Wool plaid, pewter, faux bois, red berries, pinecone candles, Christmas china, antlers, and a silver candelabra ...
it all says Christmas to me..... a
Thank you for stopping by...
Johnson Brothers Merry Christmas mugs..
There is a 25 year anniversary vase hidden in the greenery..it is in honor of my 25th year living in my beloved town...
Beeswax Christmas tree candles...and pewter cups...
This sleigh was made by my brother back in the 60's..
Merry Christmas to everyone of you..May you find peace and joy this year.. and understand the Person behind all of this celebrating.....Jesus...
Love, Mona
I am joining these parties this week.....

ReplyDeleteYou had me at Pendleton! There is nothing from the Pendleton collection that I don't love! Just SO classic!!! And classic is just what this table is all the way!
ReplyDeleteYour brother did a really good job on that sleigh oh-so-many years ago. You've kept it up pretty good, too!
It's so great that your Grandmother kept things. One just never knows what the later generations will come to cherish.
Merry Christmas, dear Mona! I wish you love and great joy!
Lovely! I imagine that there'll be lively conversation and laughter around your beautiful table. Makes me wish for a Pendleton blanket!
ReplyDeleteMona, The antlers in the centerpiece give a wonderful family history feel to this marvelous Christmas tablescape (even if you don't know the whole story behind them). I keep saying that you cannot go wrong with tartan plaid for a Christmas table. The Pendleton blanket adds so much depth to the visual aesthetics and makes a perfect canvas to start a visual masterpiece. The TST Holiday Wreath plates are a wonderful representation of Americana that I just love. You have done a wonderful job of creating a most memorable Christmas Tablescape. love! Love! Love!
ReplyDeleteI am back from TT to ogle your table again, and I think I forgot to mention those malachite chargers! Oh Woza! They are fabulous !

Gorgeous...love it all. The chargers are wonderful, crazy about your candelabra.
ReplyDeleteThis is a charming Christmas table from the plaid blanket/tablecloth to the treasured antlers. The STS china is a wonderful pattern and I love the wreath. Your pewter goblets add another texture to the table.

Hi Mona,
ReplyDeleteI have a faux bois planter that looks just like the one in your pictures. Can you tell me if there happens to be any markings on yours? I am looking for the manufacturer for the mold/design and cannot seem to figure it out.
Thanks!
