I have been thinking about this for a few days..maybe weeks... that for everything we choose to do, there is something that we choose not to do......it seemed kinda wonky until I thought about it for a while....and I think I believe this a lot more now than when I first heard it..
Let me give you a few examples......
if I choose to plant tomatoes in a certain spot, I have said no to everything else....for that spot....
if I choose to wear my favorite red sweater, then I have said no to my favorite green one.....for that day...
These choices are part of our everyday life...for all that we do, there is something that we do not do...also....
When we think of it like this, it will make more sense to start a good habit..to make a life change....to do something about the state we find ourselves in and we do not like......simply choose something different....
for every good thought we think, there is a bad thought we did NOT think..cannot think them both at the same time..
Maybe this is a rabbit trail and means nothing to anybody but me...but I am willing to take that risk since I am the writer here.......
for every hour I choose to do something fulfilling, I am choosing against wasting my life......
and this all comes around to this.....
Here is the reason behind why we date every single Tuesday night...come hell or high water..as the saying goes......
We CHOOSE each other......over everything else.....and say no to the rest of the world...for that single night every week...we say yes to US and no to not us........we have made it a priority...a lot of the dates are really really simple..a quick meal and a rented DVD.....but we guard against any interferences.so the other will know they are our YES...
Our dates are not about the doing..they are about the being.....together....and being the YES to each other.......
this might not make sense but maybe it will make you at least think what we are saying yes to.....cause it means we are saying no to something else.........
