Looking for some brightness in my landscape.....clouds, clouds, clouds, and rain, rain, and more rain....name change to Rain Forest in the works. Y'all, I have seriously never in my life seen so much rain for such a long period of time...I am trying to learn a new way of doing things as I adjust to all the wetness...
But, I still crave some sunshine and these yellow flowers are the closest thing to sunlight that I can find lately....
Something that I absolutely adore about old houses and homeplaces is the discovery that comes along with living here... This wildflower has randomly grown and bloomed behind our sasanquas several times..not every year but just enough to make me curious about what it is and how it got there...I will be right back, I am going to google it before I go any further.... I did find it after some searching..it's called Obedient Plant...cool name, I think..
This is Panton'e colors for fall 2013.... more on this later....I have an inspiration piece in my home that has all of these colors in it.soon I will show it to you....so I am saying that Pantone has good taste in colors this year...wink, wink
and this is just a quote I found this weekend...and that I like.....
and this, my friends, is a great visual of how I feel lately... a stack of bricks waiting to be formed into something....great age and patina and potential....just waiting to see where the next steps take me....
Thanks for sticking with me to the end of this very random and Monday-like post.......
Please do come again soon...
Love,
Mona
Still raining? We just got out of it a few days ago and my spirits have been much brighter since. Those are some nice colors. Isn't it wonderful to be able to find things out so easily now? I spend plenty of time looking up plants.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quote...it is so very true! As a former art teacher I tried to teach my students that every single one of them was an artist. And lovely blooms...don't you just love flowers that come out of nowhere??? I wish some of that rain would hit us...we are very very dry here!!! All the best in the week ahead!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, about this crazy rain! I cannot remember a summer (maybe, a spring), when we have had rain like this. The farmers in south Georgia are having a terrible time - crops are rotting in the fields. Great quote and I do like those new Pantone colors!
ReplyDeleteI love this post. It kinda made me relax. Enjoy your week, Mona!...Christine
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I could trade you some sunshine for some rain, LOL For over three months now our weather has been from 90 to 107, and in that time we have had two rains. If it started raining right now, I would run outside and dance :)
ReplyDeleteI can certainly see your side of it, too. It can get very depressing to not have some sunshine. So here's to our changing weather . . . if it happens, hallelujah, and if not, hallelujah anyway.
Have a lovely week, I love you photos.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
I love those Pantone colors! We have had no rain since last Monday, but will get a little rain today. I hope you have some sunshine soon.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! I am your newest GFC follower.
