this is really all that's left of the overnight visit with my daughter and her 3 boys...all under 5 yrs old...well, the oldest won't be 5 until Sept but you get the picture...
.
yesterday as I set the table before they got here, all I could think of was sitting around grandmother's table...I set it carefully and arranged flowers...colors that little boys would like..red, yellow and green...it was all set and I had cooked a big meal from the garden..with meatloaf and macaroni and cheese so it would make everybody happy...and I envisioned all the pictures I would take so I could blog about our time together....and all of my wonderfully set table and deliciously cooked meal...LOL
then............
the door opened and in walked 3 little boys and a whirlwind of energy and laughter and matchbox cars and cartoons and all of the rest...
and POOF......just like that.....I NEVER gave the camera another thought......
UNTIL..
way after supper was done!! and the dishes were all off of the table......and the meal was a memory...
But I am here to tell you that my time spent with them was wonderful.....never long enough...even if we didn't get any pictures of the well planned meal...Hahahahahaha...so is the life of a homemaker whether she is a mama or a grandmama.....living life is what is important..and adding pictures is a good second thought.....but if it gets in the way of living it, I would just as soon as the camera stay on the shelf...but I did get a few later last night and this morning..these boys are my favorite little people in the whole world..they are just wonderful..so very different from each other but making up a family that is FUN!.....

I am so happy to be the grandmother of these boys...and I am especially happy that they are glad I am their Honey......yes sirree...being a grandparent is about the best thing going in this life....they put a skip in my step....and a song in my heart......and I miss them already...and can't wait for them to come again....as Mac says...see you soon...
thank you for stopping by today.....I think I might need a nap....it surely is quiet around here.....
Love this post! And I totally agree with you about taking pictures. I sometimes kick myself for not taking many in the past few months ... but then I realize that I wouldn't have two free hands to play if I was holding a camera :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures you did get of those sweet boys. They sure are handsome!
What adorable, precious boys they are. You are so blessed! :) Have a wonderful weekend!
