Merry, merry month of May

Just a few scenes from around my life.....this is the tulip poplar seedling that came up in exactly the place I was looking to plant one...no kidding.....Someone is helping me garden and doing a spendid job. :-)
This is my first bunch of turnips that Betsy told me about last year when she saw them at the farmer's market in Atlanta...hakurai turnips...very tasty...
My flat of seedlings...this is a very good crop of parsley...curly and flat leaf.....
Here is a view of the garden as it looks today...maybe some closeups soon...tiny green tomatoes, lots of dill, tiny squashes..zucchini and yellow and little round ones...sunflowers, turnips, okra, peas, LOTS of beans, lima beans, cucumbers, lettuces, zinnias, BASIL,and beets....
May is a very busy month around here.......
and
I am itching to sew......rearranged my sewing room yesterday so maybe I can get in there and do something today..we'll see...
Do something fun today and learn about yourself...what is your passion?

  1. Those turnips look so good!! I'm very impressed. For perspective, that's like 2 bunches at the fancy pants suburban farmers' market--so $6 worth right there. Hey--you just made back your seed investment many times over. :) This is going to work into something after all.
