Learning about Hydrangeas

I will admit it...I love hydrangeas but I am scared of them.......no, really..I am afraid I will mess with them and they will not bloom for me or they will die...so I just plant them and let them do whatever they want to do...  I have even made a bed where I hoped they would be happy......having said all that, here are a few pictures of hydrangeas growing naturally.....they really are one of my most favorite flowers but none of my family grew them and they are not familiar to me...even though I have had one in my yard for about 25 years..LOL

the first one I had any success with were these lovely Blushing Bride hydrangeas...

in pots on my deck

blooming without any care
blue tinged

pink tinged

green tinged

the whole plant
Lady in Red.has always been blue

don't know the name..at least it's pink..
has dark stems and blooms blue.....I like it a lot....

dug from Bryan's granny   ..scared to move it because I don't want to kill it..it grows in weeds.

my success story..oakleaf hydrangea.
As you can see, there are quite a few in my yard..they fascinate me..they are beautiful and so old fashioned..but mine have not really multiplied or grown so well...maybe one day I will overcome my crazy fear of hydrangeas...but until then, I will just enjoy whatever they give me as I observe from afar...

thank you for stopping by today..

I hope to see you again soon..
