These little pots are made in USA...vintage and oh so cute...
The water glasses and the pitcher are thrift store finds...loving the color...
The tablecloth is a piece of vintage fabric that almost looks appliqued with white flowers..it is the palest pink....
The light pink crepe myrtle is just perfect for the table especially with the white pottery pieces...This pottery is Floraline ...matte white. It is part of the McCoy family and has been easier to find and cheaper than pieces marked McCoy....the matte white has long been one I collect..it is not as easy to find anymore...
Our deck flowers are strutting their stuff and most have shades of pink...Those are white hydrangeas that have faded nicely and my favorite coleus..Alabama Sunset...that's for you Bonnie...wink, wink..
the spiky white flowers in the background are Monroe's white liriope....a lovely, lovely evergreen plant...
The bottom plates are Coalport Countryware ....next, Mikasa French Countryside square plates, and then the little covered vintage pots on top. A whole lot of country going on here.. grin..
I used white on white napkins and the silverplate is Exquisite.
As suppertime neared, I looked out my back door....
Then I took one more round of pictures and loaded that entire tablescape onto trays and brought it INSIDE!!! in the air conditioning...I am telling you what. It got so hot and humid during the day that there was NO WAY we were eating outside in that steambath....oh well, just keeping it real here..So, this table was set for me and my husband...Seeing his big masculine self eating from this pink and white table..well, it made me love him even more..He is such a good sport with all of my tablescaping.. and to tell you the truth, I think he enjoys it..I put the guest of honor napkin ring at his place...
I reset the table in our dining room and we sat down to a summer supper of ..wait for it...grits and eggs..with toast and mayhaw jelly...The pinkness of the jelly was beautiful with everything else.. if you don't know that jelly and would like to know about it, leave me a comment and I will do a little blog about it...a real southern delicacy...
One more look behind the scenes.....here are my helpers..they were trying to see how many ways they can pose beneath the table draped in the tablecloth....like children.....
So, there you have it...The great white tablescape challenge is fulfilled..and it was so much fun...
