A natural phenomenon....fairy rings appear in our lawn almost overnight in the fall...
Here is a little scientific information about them if you want to know.. fairy rings
I am fascinated by them and they always make me smile. I thought I would show you the progression of the mushrooms over a three day period. I think you can tell just by looking at the pictures. I will let them speak for themselves....
What have you discovered in nature lately? There are always some beautiful representatives of creation if we just look for them..
My hope is that through this every Friday feature, I can help you to really look at your surroundings. to develop that artist's eye..to appreciate all the beauty that is in this world we live in.
Have a great weekend and at least find ONE thing that is beautiful and that makes you smile. I guarantee you that you will be glad you did.. I would love it if you shared with me what you find..Just leave your discovery in the comments and everyone else can share it too...
I am reposting this today..Sunday because I am not seeing my blog show up in anybody's sidebar of blog lists and I used to be there...I am hoping I am not just being removed by everybody and that it is a problem with blogger..
Love, Mona
Mona, these are so great! I have some mushrooms in my yard also...just fascinating! I like this feature...nature is so pretty and we need to stop and take a look at it more often.

You've taught me something! I have a patch that grows up every year about the same time, though I have not noticed a ring. I'll pay better attention.
ReplyDeleteStunning photographs my friend. I had no idea they were called fairy rings but I can see why. xo, olive
ReplyDeleteMona, what an awesome fairy ring! Do you know what kind of mushrooms they are? I wish those fairies would visit my yard...every few years I get that yucky slimy neon green growth that grosses me out! About once a year I see one huge brown mushroom pop up near where a tree used to stand.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful upcoming week.
I loved seeing the progression, Mona! The mushrooms make the perfect fairy ring and I can picture them inside. Hugs and blessings to you.
ReplyDeleteInteresting facts about the fairy rings, Mona. I just saw some mushrooms on another friend's blog, and they were poisonous. I'm wondering if the fairy rings are?
ReplyDeleteOh Yes, I find things all the time on my nature walks that make me smile. I just took pictures of a few of them that made my heart glad. I hope you are enjoying these Autumn days, my friend. We may get some rain this week.
love,
