Just Add Flowers

I've been thinking a lot lately about my blog....  obviously just thinking and not writing it..  LOL

and this phrase kept coming to me over and over..JUST ADD FLOWERS.....

As I pondered it, I could see that it is a good way to describe my outlook on life...  I love flowers..I mean REALLY love flowers..all kinds and in every form....

Here are just a few of the latest pictures I had posted on my personal facebook page.....

And some more pictures from around our house...my eye is always drawn toward the flowers....

So, here is my philosophy about life....just add flowers..it makes it so much more beautiful..
When Jonathan was born, I celebrated him by giving them an orchid..I will always think of him when I see an orchid from now on....yes, flowers.....

Always, Always Flowers......

We are waiting for yet another snow, sleet, and ice storm heading our way....Hope you are staying warm.. and safe....

Thank you for stopping by today...

Love, Mona

  1. Excellent philosophy! I'm going to see if I can find my silk flowers, which will have to do in a pinch. We are expecting another event toward week's end. It feels as if they are trains right on schedule.

  2. I love it, I love it! Flowers just make me smile, especially roses. No matter what the season flowers abound. It has been rainy here in Texas but I am playing with dishes so I am happy.

  3. I just heard about that ice and snow were coming your way. I understand Atlanta's schools are closed for the rest of the week. Hope they don't have to make that up.

I love your philosophy about flowers and I share your love of them. Your sweet crocus is so cheerful and an early harbinger of spring. Love your narcissus pic too. All your pictures are pretty.

I am having my garden club tomorrow at my house and it was "slim pickins" trying to get a few camellias that weren't hurt by the cold. Even the stores are low and don't have a good selection and it is valentine's week.

Stay warm and hope your power stays on.

  5. Love the new candle holders! I always wish that I had your garden. However, I do not want to work that hard. It is probably because I am so much older than you - lol!

  6. I wrote about my nurse friend Vicki who always said "Art is flowers on the table." we do not have to have them she said but life is far better with them on that table. I have never forgotten her analysis.

  7. First of all, PLEASE be careful during this incumbent snow/ice storm. As a lifelong Midwesterner, I know it's a real game changer when Mother Nature goes on a rampage like this. After decades of cold winter weather complete with snow and ice, I have acclimated to the point that I still wear gym shorts with a sweatshirt throughout most of the winter months. I'm not talking about while I'm at home...I'm talking about to go grocery shopping, etc. Doesn't bother me a bit. But for folks who aren't used to it, PLUS trying to maneuver slick walkways, it's a doozy! So please take special care.

Flowers make everything better and more beautiful. I'm on your side on this one! Enjoy them!!!
