Teaching an Old Dog New Tricks

Well, y'all I am knee deep in new technology. and wishing I was a youngster that knew all about these smartphones.....   I am learning as fast as I can but have already missed some fun parties this week.....

So, instead of setting pretty tables, I am getting to know my phone..hahaha

And just so you will know that we never lack for excitement...while I was at the phone store happily picking out my new companion.......

Meanwhile, back at the old homeplace.......no, this is NOT my house....it is my neighbor's house that was hidden from view when I left to go get my phone...

My neighbor was busily chopping down my beautiful old hedge because he thought it was HIS!!!!

My abelia hedge was 10 feet tall and full of flowers and butterflies when I left at noon...
when we returned at 6 p.m., this is what we found.....

After many tears and conversations, I think we might have reached a compromise..  y'all stay tuned to see how the neighbor fixes this one...

Needless to say, I haven't had much time or emotional energy to write a sensible blog.....

I hope to be back soon....

Love,

Mona

  2. what is the matter with that man? Doesn't he even know his own property. I would have been hopping mad - hopefully he will be putting in a beautiful new tall bushes for you.
Goo luck with your new phone - now if you were about 6 or 7 you would know how to program and work it in a hot minute. When I have computer problems I call the little girl across the street and she comes over and bing bang it's fixed. Oh to be young again.
Have a happy happy Labor Day.

  3. Whatever possessed him to do that to a beautiful hedge even IF he did think that it was his? Gosh...no wonder you've been scarce. All the best with the new phone!
