A Chintzy Table

Well, well, well...today  has been one of those days......do you all have those or is it just me???   It is after 5 p.m. and I am just now getting my pictures downloaded for this blog.....I hope you enjoy this table...I know I will...

It all started when I spotted these chintz dishes at our Goodwill this weekend...they are marked Queen's fine bone china..made in India..that's all I know about them....

But, oh my, did I ever love them as soon as I saw them...  I am so partial to floral dishes as you probably can tell by my tables...

The coffeepot is marked USA....with a square and something in the square that I can make out.....had it a long time...

The underplate is Haviland and it has  a green and gold border..  I tried several different combinations and this is the one I liked best....

Some succulents in an old basket for the background.  The little dragonfly was my Mama's..it is fading but I still use it...

The late summer garden still has a few flowers blooming.  I picked these to go in the little creamware vases..

I am telling you the truth...This is the tablescape that almost was NOT!!!  First my email that I use with my blog was down.. when I went outside to get my table for today, there were ants in the legs......then my camera battery went dead after the first picture..  Battery charged..and now it is CLOUDY!!! and not easy to take the pictures..

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!  what a day this has been...I should have known better than to put this verse on my facebook this morning.....

Count it all joy, my brethren when you encounter various trials and tribulations.....

So, you know what??!!  I am counting it all  JOY!!!!!!

and joining in these lovely parties with all of you that have had really fun and good and easy days today...wink, wink..

Thank you for stopping by and reading my words and sharing in my life...I appreciate you a lot.....

Love,

Mona

come and visit...you will have a good time!

  4. I've always adored the chintz patterns. This one in the yellow is wonderful! I think that we all have days when we spend all our time taking 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. Your results are marvelous, though. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay

  5. Oh goodness, I DO understand because I had a day just like that. One computer issue after another. Good thing I took my pictures yesterday.

As to your table, it is LOVELY! Those dishes are exactly the kind that I love the most. I have a thing for florals too. I never ever find anything like that at our GW. In fact, I've stopped even going in there. I love that stemware you used too. It's all so very pretty to me.
