Saved from what???

34 years ago,on my 25th birthday,  I gave my life to Jesus.....I had 2 small children and a loveless marriage
 I worked very hard at looking good from the outside but on the inside I was EMPTY....I had made a plan and worked a plan but the problem was that the plan was all mine.....I was the master of my own fate or so I thought....

.but I came to my senses and realized that my plan wasn't going to amount to much except a life of existence....and I wanted MORE...much more than that.....but the first step was realizing that I didn't have much worth anything to show for all my 25 years worth of living......

I invited Someone..Jesus... to come into my life and take it over...just plain out take the reigns....because I really did NOT have any idea how to do this thing called life..and I figured I better hurry up and do something right for a change before I made an even bigger mess...so I did.  I yielded..... my plans for His plans....my ways for His ways...even my family for His family............

and I have NEVER , not for even one day, been sorry that I made that decision to give my life to Him and let Him call the shots from then on out......I have spent my life learning to hear Him....and trust Him......

Because of Him, I have come through many storms..and heartaches...and I have lived right smack dab in the center of some absolutely impossible situations that completely TURNED AROUND in the blink of an eye..all in my favor....

Because of Him, I press on because I know how much He loves me...and that He is for me.......

You too can have this same relationship with this same Jesus...all you need to do is say YES to Him..and He will do the rest.....if you yield yourself....it would be the BEST thing you ever did...I promise.......

I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From where shall my help come?
 My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
 He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.
  The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade on your right hand.
 The sun will not smite you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
 The LORD will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
 The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.
 Psalm 121

one of my favorite parts of the Bible......
I hope you will give this some thought..each person is free to make up their own mind about their own life.........
these are the decisions I have made for mine...

thank you for coming by today..I hope to see you again soon.....

  1. Giving up control to Jesus or to the universe (depending on one's religion) is very freeing. I feel so bad for those people who believe that they are or want to be in control of everything. Trusting in a higher power - I say "God" - is a very peaceful way to live. Congratulations on finding "your" way!!

  2. Hi, Mona! I just love the beautiful pictures and the inspirational words. You're quite a woman. I only wish there were a way to really talk to you (maybe by phone or email). Brigitte (in New Orleans)
