Friday Flowers #10

Today is my second grandsons 7th birthday..we love him dearly...I wish we could see him every day but he doesn't live close enough for that...we will celebrate this weekend with him....

 Happy Birthday Mac...

Now for the flowers.....

It is hot, hot, hot here in sunny Georgia..what is the weather like where you are?  There is still something blooming in this heat.  The okra loves this weather..red okra is beautiful...

The tomatoes are really struggling this year.  It might have something to do with the weather.  I don't know....and they are mostly heirloom varieties...  I hope you enjoy the pictures...

and have a great weekend...

Love,
Mona

  1. Hope that those heirloom tomatoes make it! Your photos are just beautiful! You almost look as if you live in Japan rather than Georgia in some of them. All that gorgeous bokeh!

  2. Gorgeous pics despite the heat. Sad your tomatoes are not having a good year. Especially love the zinnia shot and butterfly shot.

I roasted some okra that I bought at the farmers market and it turned out nicely. Easier than breading and frying and had the same crispness. High heat until brown. So easy.

    Happy Birthday to your grandson.

  3. These pictures are so delightful, especially the one of your grandson. Happy Birthday to him. The butterfly picture is beautiful, and I still haven't got a good pic of one because they fly away much to quickly. It's been pretty hot here too in California, but the last week it's been cooler, in the 80's and 90's.

    Stay cool, Mona.
