Gallery Walls Are Just My Style

I am trying to put together a gallery wall for my husband's office.  I found an original watercolor painting the other day that I just loved.. It was the start of this grouping...  I am hoping that by my taking these pictures and writing this  piece, it will inspire me to get more creative and actually get this DONE!!!

We own a window and door company so these architectural lines are just perfect...

Does anybody know this artist?

This sketch of a courthouse in Fl was done by my Daddy..  Maybe I can fit it in too...

I DO know this artist....

So far, it is feeling a bit jumbled..have to keep reminding myself that it is a process..and I have lots to choose from to make it work..

As you can see, gallery walls are not something I have never done before...They are second nature to me.  It is just trying to feel the right combination....  Hanging all of this in the office is a whole nother thing.. LOL

I really love pictures and having a full wall..with different things hanging there...  always juxtaposing..
simple with ornate.  rustic with formal..  primitive with refined...

Yep, I'm thinking this bell wreath might be just the piece of interest this wall needs....now to put it in some semblance of order..or not...

So glad you joined in my process this morning..Hopefully we will have a finished wall sometime soon....I will let you know....

Love, Mona

  1. Looks like you have some wonderful pictures for your gallery wall. In looking at your other walls I would say that you are very good at putting them together. Looking forward to seeing the end results.
    Have a great week Mona.

  2. Oh you do have some very meaningful selections there. Can't wait to see how you pull it all together! (I'm hopeless with things like this, but very much enjoy the look.)

  3. I am having trouble right now doing a gallery wall around a high-on-the-wall television set and, like you, I just need to DO IT....some things are so hard to get done,. I'm not good at this kind of thing...it always ends up looking waaay too busy for me.

  4. Your walls look great. Looks like I need your help because you have already been successful at this. I've had frames, mats, and mirrors on the floor for weeks.

Look forward to seeing your gallery wall completed. I'm sure I will still have stacks.

  5. You have several wonderful gallery walls! I fell in love with them a couple of years ago and have done two in this house. They make little things more important. It's funny to me that when guests come over they will stand and study the walls. They think it's neat. I really like the collection you have going for your husband's office. :)

  7. That's a nice bit of information I didn't know....you guys own a door and window company! How cool! We just got new windows put in (the triple thermal kind that tilts in for easy cleaning...love them!) and will be investing in a new front door next year. I had no idea they had to take the entire unit - side panels and all - out to install it!!! We'll be looking fancy in no time!!! :-) If you have any tips or suggestions before we start plunking down our hard-earned money, I'm all ears!

I wish I could do gallery walls as nicely as you have. I am just so squeamish about making mistakes. I guess mistakes can be fixed in a relatively easy way, but I'm still leery. A gallery wall would be perfect in our library. I have the makings of one, but need to just go full speed ahead. Your walls give me in inspiration, especially seeing that you have a mix of things in there. It's REALLY COOL that you include the sketch your Daddy did of the courthouse!!! My maternal Grandfather was an artist, and my Mom has some of his sketches displayed on her walls. I may have to see if I can get a couple of those that she's not displaying for my library!!! See....you've got me excited about this now!!!!

  8. I do love gallery walls, but I usually try to go for one impact piece. I always love looking at the walls in your house, though - they are so full of wondrous things!!

  13. I'm intending to do a themed gallery wall (Blue Ball Jars artwork) in my guest room, sewing room. I may not wait until we actually get the walls repainted, heh, because I've never hung a gallery wall and I'll need to get 'er done when the motivation hits. I will be referring to your blog. . .
