Flowers Everywhere

Still thinking about how many flowers are in my life...As I practiced taking pictures so I can learn about aperture and such...oh my goodness...will I E.V.E.R get this??  LOL  who knew getting a new lens would take so much time to get it right...but I digress....

As I was going over the photos, lo and behold, I discovered flowers in the border of a silverplate piece I have......

Then I decided to do a little playing with the pictures..because it is snowy and icy and messy outside and I needed a diversion from watching the weather...and of course, it gave me some flowers to focus on...

And a few more...

Just a little writing and picture taking to get my pump primed..to get me back in the habit of blogging...

I hope you are staying warm and this winter storm isn't bothering you too much....I think we are prepared and hoping that we don't lose power......

Love, Mona

  1. Mona, why am I not surprised to see flowers on your silver piece????? It is gorgeous and perfect for you. After you finish becoming an expert with the new lens, you need to host a photography online class for the rest of us! I see a whole new career for you. Stay save in the storm - we still have just rain, but it should be freezing soon!

  2. What a pretty piece of silver you have. I will have to look at mine more closely to see if it also has flowers. I think starting to take photos again of whatever interests you will help the writing muse. That's what I have always found to be true. Stay cozy down there in that mess of winter weather.

  3. When you learn all of it you can pass it on. I am still somewhat clueless and most days just wing it. Love the silver and rose but most of all that you are here. xo, olive

  4. Mona,

SO glad you are back! I've missed your beautiful photos, both pre new lens and after! Isn't it amazing how all of a sudden, out of the blue, (and because a lens can see things our eyes can't do), you discover hidden petals, whether they are engraved or stamped or decoupaged, it doesn't make a difference, they are FLOWERS and they make us happy and like you said, take our attention away from the blur of snow!

Your beautiful photo of the red flower is dreamy and delightful! Thank you for sharing it!

    Happy Valentine's Day!
