Living on purpose...destiny..

PURPOSE 1.the reason for which something exists or is done, made, used, etc.
2.an intended or desired result; end; aim; goal.

One of the themes of my life is finding our purpose...we have to believe there actually IS a purpose to our life in order to start looking for it...I see too many people just drifting through life with no particular place in mind, no real sense of being here for a reason, and just thinking about pleasure, pleasure, pleasure or just making the next paycheck so they can survive.......cruising along in life taking whatever comes their way... that is NOT the kind of woman I am...I believe there is a reason I was put on this earth...a destiny that is much bigger than me....I am a part of a time in history that will never happen again..and the wonder of it all is that YOU are a part of this time in history too...we are on this journey at the same time..

I think that was the hardest thing about my divorce...I was doubting my being able to fulfill my destiny after that happened...I had a wonderful pastor friend that kept saying....your purpose CANNOT be taken away from you...because he knew I was not a quitter.  some people seem to think that divorce is THE END OF THE WORLD...I am living proof that it is not....We have free will and can choose to keep making good choices and keeping the desire to live out our purpose alive ....

I am saddened by the sheer number of people that I come into contact with that have no sense of destiny...they have NO IDEA how important they are..how they have something to contribute..or how their life effects the broader picture.....we are interlocked...we are making history at the same time..it is not just for those people over there....it is not a matter of having enough money....or enough beauty...or a good family name.....or the model parents...or the 'right' education.....  It is a matter of saying YES to God...and He will direct your paths....and you will fulfill your destiny...one day at a time....it is not that we get a blueprint all laid out and then we just do it...No, it is through a daily personal relationship with God that he shows us where He wants us....being in the right spot is the most important thing in my opinion....If we are in the place we are supposed to be in, all the other things fall into place......I know without a shadow of doubt that I live in the exact spot that God wants me in.....so as I live out my life from this place, it is right...not perfect but effective.....some of my most important purposes at this point of my life are being Grandmother to 3 little boys and friend to my grown children...and a wife / homemaker.....these things give me life....

My desire for every one of you is that you will find yourself in just the right spot....and if you are not there, do whatever it takes to get there....Position yourself to fulfill the destiny that is yours if you say YES.....I don't believe we automatically live out our destiny...I believe it's our choices that make a difference...we must purpose in our heart to live like this.. we are responsible for the choices we make.....I made a lifetime of not so good ones....a lot of wisdom comes from experiences when we allow God to use them to transform us....

What is your purpose?  what are you here for?  being a mama and making a peaceful home is an awesome purpose and one that is often overlooked by our society...but not overlooked by heaven....

My hope for each of you is that you start off 2011 deciding to make it a year of destiny and purpose....yours..not someone else's....looking into your own heart and seeing your very own desires not what anybody else told you you had to do......the freedom to be who you are meant to be.....

thank you for reading along with me....you are important to me....
